ECE Week is a special time to recognize the dedication, passion, and hard work that goes into early childhood education every single day. We are deeply thankful to all the families and the Board of Directors who participated, encouraged, and celebrated alongside us throughout the week. Your trust, involvement, and continued support help create a strong and caring community for our children to learn and grow. Seeing the smiles, excitement, and connection during ECE Week reminded us how valuable these partnerships truly are.

To celebrate our 40th anniversary celebration, we decided to fundraise by selling Aunt Sarah’s chocolates! We over ordered and therefore, we are giving back to our community by handing out to several organizations. The VADC Board members each chose an organization to donate to! The organizations being gifted the love of chocolates are: Sunshine House, Winnipeg Helping Hands, Immigrant Centre, Habitat for Humanity, West Central Women’s Centre, and the Canadian African Muslim Women’s Association (CAMWA). The kids in VADC took part by writing cards to each of the organizations!

RRC Students studying in the field of Early Childhood Education visited our centre on our 40th anniversary, where, as part of their experience, they prepared a beautiful mural that reflects creativity and connection. Parents, children, staff and other visitors were invited to add their comments, drawings or messages to the mural. We are grateful for the students’ contribution to the celebration, as this activity has left us with a lasting reminder of collaboration and community spirit.

Victoria Albert Daycare Inc. was officially incorporated on March 21, 1986! What better way to celebrate our 40th anniversary, than with a party for all of our children, families, and educators! Cheers to our community!
