At VADC, we believe children—and the adults who care for them—do best when they feel safe, supported, and connected. That’s why our Centre was created: to give families a caring, high-quality place for their children. Since opening in 1986, with help from the Manitoba Government, we’ve worked to be a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

We are currently licensed for 20 preschool children (ages 3-5) and 45 school age children (ages 6-12) from Monday to Friday 7:00am-5:30pm in the heart of downtown!

We support children as they explore and grow, and we’re always here when they need comfort or connection.

Our Centre is led by a caring team, including an Executive Director and a Board of Directors. Most Board members are caregivers who help make decisions that support children, families, and educators.

We believe families are an important part of our circle. If you’d like to join the Board or share your ideas, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can keep building a strong, caring community for our children.
